NEW MARKET, SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA, FEDERAL WALNUT BUREAU / CHEST OF DRAWERS, two-board rectangular top, above four graduated drawers, flanked by reeded pilasters, raised on a fully framed base with cut-out skirt and bandy-like modified French feet. Yellow pine secondary wood. Retains an old refinished surface with warm color. Attributed to the shop of Jeremiah Evans / John McCann, New Market, VA. Circa 1815.
