SAMUEL METFORD (BRITISH / AMERICAN, 1810-1896) CUT-AND-PASTED CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA FAMILY GROUP SILHOUETTE, full-length, profile depictions with gilt highlights of two boys, one holding riding crop, and two girls, one holding a flower basket, sitters identified as "Charles", "Amelia", "Ann", and "James", reportedly Alston family children, signed "Samuel Metford fecit / Charleston, SC", and dated "1842". Housed in an old frame with possibly period glass and eglomise mat. 1842.
